A carved black granite bust of a pharaoh wearing a nemes headdress with horizontal bands to the flaps; mounted on a custom-made display stand. 4.28 kg total, 21.5cm including stand (8 1/2"). North London gentleman, in storage since the 1970s. Property of a West London gentleman. Stylistically the bust appears similar to the portrait statuette of Amenemhat III wearing the nemes in the München, Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst under reference ÄS 6762. [No Reserve]
