Egyptian Horus Statue Fragment

Late to Ptolemaic Period, 664-30 BC. A fragmentary black granite statue of Horus in falcon form protecting Osiris, god of the underworld, depicted seated on a throne with dorsal pillar; mounted on a custom-made display stand. 3.2 kg total, 26cm high including stand (10 1/4"). North London gentleman, in storage since the 1970s. Property of a West London gentleman. [No Reserve]
