Egyptian Leaded Bronze Isis & Horus Figure

**First Time At Auction**

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A cast leaded-bronze figure depicting Isis feeding her infant Horus. The goddess of healing, magic, and the moon, Isis presents in a seated pose while her feet rest atop an integral conical tang. She supports Horus' head in her left hand while her right cups her breast in a feeding motion. Her raised head bears petite eyes and an open mouth, and atop her coiffure is a sun disc and partial Hathoric horns with a frontal uraeus cobra. Thick patina has formed over the surfaces. Size: 0.8" W x 2.75" H (2 cm x 7 cm); 3.25" H (8.3 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Toronto, Ontario, Canada collection, by descent, acquired in Egypt in 1894 to 1896
