Egyptian Pottery Figure Mold of Goddess Hathor

**First Time At Auction**

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A hand-built pottery mold used to create ushabti-like standing relief figures depicting Hathor, the goddess of women, fertility, and love. The mold has a carved-out cavity that shows Hathor with one arm holding a scepter, a tripartite wig with lengthy lappets, large almond-shaped eyes, elongated, cow-like ears, and a bull horn headdress with a central sun disc. Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 1.8" W x 3.375" H (4.6 cm x 8.6 cm).

Provenance: private Dunn collection, Coral Springs, Florida, USA, acquired in the 1990s
