Egyptian Revival Gold, Enamel and Gem-Set Bracelet

Composed of a center plaque featuring a carved lapis lazuli scarab set within two intertwined Egyptian winged snake motifs, accented by lotus flowers, applied with green, red, blue and white enamel, enhanced with single-cut rubies and demantoid garnets, and old European-cut diamonds, the bracelet further decorated with five knotted gold link chains terminating with foliate motifs applied with blue plique-à-jour enamel and seed pearls, finished with old European-cut diamonds.Length 6½ inchesDiamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.10 carats18 karat and 14 karat goldCirca 1905

Condition Report:
In very good condition, with very minor abrasions and discoloration to the mounting. The enamel is intact. Tests as 18 karat gold with a 14 karat gold clasp and safety chain. Diamond weight stated in the catalogue description approximated using measurements. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VVS-SI clarity. The Lapis lazuli is vibrant dark blue with even color. The reverse of the scarab is engraved with hieroglyphs. The demantoid garnets are medium yellowish green with strong saturation and moderately included, with abrasions to the facet junctions. The rubies are medium slightly purplish red and moderately included. The pearls are round with silvery white body color, very good luster, and smooth skins. They have not been tested for natural origin. Gross weight approximately 37 dwts.
