18th Dynasty, 1550-1292 BC. A white glazed steatite scarab with detailing to the carapace, base with 'Men-Kheper-Ra' in cartouche, the king in the posture of adoration, lion above. Cf. Property of a London gentleman; acquired in the 1970s; accompanied by an old notes page with various information on the item.
