Egyptian Terracotta Ushabti Funerary Figure
Egyptian terracotta ushabti / shabti mummiform funerary figure with elongated wrapped form and modeled head. The surface shows extensive age-related wear, encrustation and losses consistent with excavated ancient Egyptian examples. Stylistically consistent with Late Period funerary figures, circa 600–30 BC, though age and archaeological origin have not been independently authenticated. Measures: 4" H x 1" W. Provenance: From the Estate of Carmine Vito “Tod” Todisco (1930–2025), founder and CEO of Northern Plastics Corp., a Syracuse-area manufacturer specializing in fiberglass furniture and commercial products. Todisco was also a collector of cultural artifacts, antiques and art.
