Egyptian Tuthmosis III Scarab in Gold Ring

New Kingdom, 1550-1070 BC. A composition scarab with cartouche of Tuthmosis III to the underside, set into a later hollow-formed gold finger ring with swivel-mounted bezel. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 34 for type. 7.55 grams, 29.29mm overall, 20.98mm internal diameter (approximate size British S, USA 9, Europe 20, Japan 19) (1 1/4").
