Egyptian Ushabti Shabti Funerary Figure
An Egyptian glazed ceramic ushabti or shabti funerary statuette, modeled in traditional mummiform form with crossed arms. The surface displays a well-aged gray-brown glaze with substantial wear and encrustation consistent with considerable age. Mounted on a later wood display base. The form and surface appear consistent with ancient Egyptian funerary figures, though age and archaeological origin have not been independently authenticated. Measures: 3-3/4" H x 3/4" W. Provenance: From the Estate of Carmine Vito “Tod” Todisco (1930–2025), founder and CEO of Northern Plastics Corp., a Syracuse-area manufacturer specializing in fiberglass furniture and commercial products. Todisco was also a collector of cultural artifacts, antiques and art.
