Egyptian White Glazed Faience Shabti, To "Pen Renu", Mid 18th Dynasty, c. 1400 - 1350 B.C.
White glazed composition shabti painted in black slip with two water pots behind left shoulder. Single mould behind right shoulder. Two picks in hands. Arms not folded but hands end to end. One column of hieroglyphs down front:"Glorifying the Osiris Penrenu".
Translated and dated by a former B.M. curator.
