An Egyptian bicolor 'reis' or overseer ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, Dynasty 21, c. 1075 - 945 BC, in integral base, wearing kilt of everyday life and short wig. Left arm holding a pick and right resting at side. Remnants of bright blue glaze. H: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). Moderate surface deposits. Ex Bonham's; Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent.
