An Egyptian blue-green glazed faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, depicted mummiform on integral base, wearing tripartite wig with false beard, arms folded at chest and holding a pick and a hoe, vertical plinth at back and down front of torso and legs are two vertical columns of hieroglyphic text within a grooved border with central division. L: 4 1/2 in (11.4 cm). Light weathering and deposits, an attractive type! Ex Sussex, UK private collection acquired 1960's-80's.
