An Egyptian granite head and upper torso of a man, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, wearing tripartite wig, his facial features nicely cut in good style. The man holds an item against his chest, the top just visible and at back is the top of the vertical plinth that originally ran the length of his figure. 5 x 3 7/8 in 12.7 x 9.8 cm. Light deposits and mounted on an antique granite base. Ex collection of Theodore Bachman, New York.
