Egyptian steatite scarab, 2nd Intermediate Period

A nice Egyptian steatite scarab, 2nd Intermediate Period, c. 1750 - 1570 BC, with plain body, trapezoidal head and horizontal grooved legs with angled hatching. On base a beautiful depiction of standing Horus wearing a kilt holding a uraeus over a lotus-altar with face of Hathor on side, small red crowns below. 16 x 12 mm. Holed lengthwise for suspension, light deposits. Ex Orange County private collection.
