An Egyptian steatite scarab, 2nd Intermediate period, c. 1750 - 1570 BC, of rather tabular form with small head and two parallel grooves around the sides. On base a Nefer sign and stylized lotus plant within an oval border. From the Levant. 13.5 x 9 mm. Ex collection of J.D.R. Fryer, UK.
