Elbaite Doubly Terminated with Albite var Cleavelandite Himalaya Mine, Gem Hill, Mesa Grande District, San Diego Co., California, USA "A single doubly terminated pink tourmaline with a thin green termination on one end with a little albite and lepidolite on one side. Bought the specimen when he was running the mine with Ed Swaboda [sic] and had a lot of tourmaline." - Rock H. Currier "He" presumably being Bill Larson: a Pala Properties partner. Good pink body color with that tiny, little green band on one of the terminations found on some Himalaya crystals, accompanied by a few blades of Cleavelandite at one end of the stout prism. It has a custom labeled base. Overall Measurements: 3.5 x 1.6 x 1.6 inches (9.0 x 4.0 x 4.0 cm) Offered at no reserve Provenance: Bought from Pala Properties (Bill Larson) [RHC #5538, acquired 1989] [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
