Election poster produced by the Black Panther and Peace & Freedom Parties. Eldridge Cleaver joined the Black Panther Party in 1966 after being released from prison, and was nominated as a presidential candidate two years later, running on the Peace and Freedom Party ticket. Although he was not technically old enough to run (not meeting the requisite 35 years of age), Cleaver still appeared on a number of the ballots.
