Consept: IT’S HUMAN TO LONG FOR PERFECTION, AND SOMETIMES INDIVIDUALS PERCEIVE SOME PECULIARITIES OF THEIR APPEARANCE AS DEFORMITIES, PERCEIVING THEM AS SOMETHING FOREIGN IN THEIR BODY. THIS SERIES OF WORKS FEATURES SUCH “SUPERFLUOUS” DETAILS OF HUMAN ORGANISM, BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL, AND FEELING OF DISCOMFORT THAT THEY PROVOKE.

Lena Lipatova is Moscow-based artist working with spatial 3D forms.
Her creative method is based on studying color and light and variations of their interaction. She builds her artistic strategy on the idea that the world and people in it are symbolic constructions. That is why she seeks patterns and fractures in the environment that surrounds her, so she could visualize them as simple forms and structures. Interested in transmedia open art forms because they let her not to be fixed of a particular medium and implies some interaction with spectators whom she also sees as a part of her creative work.
