Weight driven wooden works, the white clock face gilt in raised gold at each corner with a trellis diaper basket within scrolls and foliage, the divided glass door reverse painted with a view of Mt. Vernon, within free-standing columns and beneath a scroll crest, surmounted by a brass eagle flanked by urn finials, affixed on the interior with partial paper label printed "PATENT CLOCKS INVENTED BY ELI TERRY Made and Sold AT TERRYSVILLE CONNECTICUT BY ELI TERRY, Jr. " flanked by instructions regarding how to run and maintain the clock.
