Elisabeth Ronget (1899-1980) - Modernistisch portret

Elisabeth Ronget is an artist of German-Jewish origin. After her artistic training at the Bauhaus and the November Group, she moved to Paris in the early 1930s - under the political influence of Nazism.

There she joined the Ecole de Paris and was influenced by modernist pioneers such as Pablo Picasso and Fernand Leger. That typically modern influence is visible in this large portrait on canvas from 1972.
