ET • HIB •' REGINA • (m.m.), Queen seated on ornamented throne with fine latice work and pellet backing, holding orb and sceptre, flanked by pellet adorned pillars, Portcullis below atop ornate tressure through which it and only her crown breaks, rev. (m.m.) A '• DNO '• FACTV .' EST • ISTVD ET • EST • MIRAB •' IN • OCVL •' NRS .' Royal Shield set atop Tudor Rose, spandrels plain, 14.98g, 2h, m.m. tun (Comber 24; Holloway 18-24; Brown and Comber A26 [Type i b]; Schneider I, 783; North 2003; Spink 2529), creased and rubbed resulting in a soft portrait, nevertheless a pleasant example with natural toning in recesses, a bolder fine, especially to peripheries, and not recorded in Holloway's corpus of 50 known examples, in NGC holder, graded AU Details ~ Graffiti (Cert. #6295175-001)
