The 1965 Sovereign belongs to the series struck to meet international demand following the Royal Mint’s return to regular production in 1957. It bears Mary Gillick’s laureate portrait of Elizabeth II opposite Pistrucci’s St George and the Dragon.

Graded NGC MS65, the present coin is a well-preserved mint example of very popular type.
