The 2005 Sovereign replaced Pistrucci’s familiar equestrian reverse with a distinctive interpretation of St George and the Dragon by Timothy Noad. Used for this single year, Noad’s reverse makes the 2005 issue a distinctive entry in the modern Sovereign series.
