[ translate ]

Elvis Presley 1957 Power of Attorney Document Signed by Vernon Presley and Col. Tom Parker (Museum Collection) - This is an official letter from Vernon Presley to Elvis, dated January 15, 1957. Vernon grants the recently turned 22 year old Elvis power of attorney in case of his absence in all matters relating to Elvis Presley Music, Inc. and Gladys Music, Inc., providing that the written approval of Colonel Thomas Parker is also given. The document is clearly signed by Vernon Presley in blue ink at the close of the letter and approved with a fountain pen signature from Colonel Parker. Most autographs by Tom Parker in later years of his life were always signed "The Colonel". This autograph, signed "Col. Thomas A. Parker" is very hard to find. The piece comes from the collection of the Elvis & Rock N' Roll Museum in Denmark.
