[ translate ]

Elvis Presley Signed Check For Circle G Ranch Down Payment and 3-Page Inventory W/COA From EP Enterprises - This lot includes a signed check by Elvis Presley and documents relating to the purchase of what would become Elvis' beloved Circle G Ranch. The check is written to Jack Adams in the amount of $5000 and dated February 9, 1967, and is signed "E.A. Presley" along with a notation at the edge that reads, "As earnest money towards purchase of Twinkletown Farms, (160) acres, all cattle, equipment as stated in contract." The check is accompanied by a three-page typed inventory that lists the fees for horses and equipment, and a section of adding machine tape calculating the dollar amounts of these expenses. Elvis purchased the Circle G Ranch as a getaway that would still be near Graceland, and after he and Priscilla married, they even spent part of their honeymoon there. In April 1967 when filming for the film "Clambake" was paused, Elvis was able to spend three straight weeks on the ranch, and it has been argued that that Spring was one of the happiest times of his life. The lot will include a certificate of authenticity from Elvis Presley Enterprises.
