[ translate ]

Elvis Presley's 1034 Audubon Dr. Title Insurance Policy From the Jimmy Velvet Collection W/COA - This blue and white booklet from the Commerce Title Guaranty Company of Memphis, Tennessee is the original document given to Elvis Presley and his parents after Elvis paid cash for his first home in March, 1956. This policy guarantees that Vernon, Gladys, and Vernon Presley are ensured and would receive up to $29,250 in the event of loss or damage to the home. The document is dated March 12th, 1956 and truly marks the beginning of a young Elvis' successful career. Elvis purchased the home at only 21 years old just two months after releasing his hit single "Heartbreak Hotel", which was his first on RCA Records. Shortly after moving to the Audubon Drive home, Heartbreak Hotel became a #1 single and Elvis fans and media began to mob the house. Elvis and his parents eventually moved to Graceland after just 13 months when the crowds became too much. This title insurance policy comes with a letter of authenticity from the Elvis Presley Museum signed by Jimmy Velvet. The lot will also include a copy of an original notarized document from Shelby County, Tennessee that documents the sale of the home in 2006 to record company executive Mike Curb.
