Elvis Presley's Personally Owned and Worn 2.14ctw Diamond and Solid 14K Yellow/White Gold Nugget Ring Given to Roy Smith (Painter of the Lisa Marie Jet) W/LOA and Letter From Priscilla Presley - This ring was personally owned by Elvis Presley, and is crafted of 14k yellow gold with Elvis' favored "nugget" motif on the shoulders of the band and a top set with approximately 2.14ctw diamonds. The ring comes with a letter of authenticity from Thomas B. Morgan Jr., who went to high school with Elvis and reconnected with the King many years later, as he was the Administrative Assistant to the Shelby County Sherriff's Department and eventually even assisted with coordinating the security for Elvis' funeral. According to Morgan's account, this ring was one of Elvis' personal pieces of jewelry and was worn by him on numerous occasions. Eventually, Elvis gave this ring to Roy Smith, a Memphis painter who repainted the "TCB" logo on the tail of Elvis' private jet the Lisa Marie. The letter states in part, "Mr. Smith had refused to take money, saying 'it did not take a hour to repaint the logo'. Elvis then took a ring off and gave it to Mr. Smith as payment for a job well done." The ring will also include a letter from Priscilla Presley. Ring top measurements: 16mm x 21mm. Ring size: 11.25. (WEIGHT: 14.9 grams)
