Elvis Presley's Personally Owned and Worn 15mm Lapis and 14K Yellow Gold Ring Worn at Sahara Tahoe Given to Dave Hebler W/LOA and Letter From Priscilla Presley - This ring was owned by Elvis Presley, and is crafted of 14k yellow gold with a bezel set 15mm lapis surrounded by approximately 0.25ctw diamonds. This ring comes with a letter of authenticity from Memphis Mafia member, Dave Hebler, who was Elvis' friend and personal bodyguard. According to Hebler's account, Elvis was wearing the ring during a performance at the Sahara Tahoe and was having trouble keeping this ring and several others on his fingers. Between songs Elvis handed the rings to Dave Hebler for safe keeping, and after the performance when Hebler attempted to return the rings to Elvis told him to keep them. The letter from Dave Hebler states in part, "He looked at them and asked me what I wanted him to do with them. I reminded him that he had given them to me for safekeeping and I was returning them to him. He told me to keep them and make sure that I wore them the next time we were both on stage and laughed it off." The ring will also include a letter from Priscilla Presley. Elvis Presley performed a total of 28 times at the Sahara Tahoe, beginning in the summer of 1971 before his August shows in Las Vegas and returning for a total of five engagements up until May 1976. Elvis enjoyed the more intimate venue and with the help of his manager Colonel Parker pushed the crowds in the 1,500-seat capacity theatre to nearly 2,000, comparable to Las Vegas audiences. Ring size: 11. (WEIGHT: 12.7 grams)
