From the Hamburg Series Expressionist composition suggesting two steamers on the Elbe, with smoke trailing. Signed in Pencil lower right. Matted and framed in strip gilt wood molding. Condition: Paper is discolored and desiccated with uneven texture. Small tear to upper right corner hidden by mat, please see photo. Image size 11"h. x 17.75"w. Framed and matted behind glass 20.5" h. x 26" w. overall. Provenance: Purchased and removed from Germany in the 1930's. Brought to America and has descended through the family.
