Biography from Jim's of Lambertville: Emily Abbott was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1900. After earning a degree from the University of Minnesota, she enrolled at the Minneapolis School of Art in 1933. While there, Abbott studied with renowned artist and teacher, B.J.0. Nordfeldt.
