Large and inspiring Art Nouveau time bronze bust of a beautiful young woman with fine colour and surface detail, bronze and gold patinated, signed E. Villanis with the bronze foundry mark: 'Societe des Bronzes de Paris'. Late 19th Century circa 1890. Title: "Saïda". Good condition for its age. Emmanuel Villanis (12 December 1858 - 28 August 1914) was a French sculptor. He was born in Lille , France. From 1885, Villanis lived in Paris and became one of the most productive sculptors towards the end of the 19th century. His female bronze busts, cast by the 'Societe des Bronzes de Paris' were exported all over the world from Paris.
