Emmett Kelly (American, 1989-1979) Clown, 1974 Pastel on paper 16 x 12 inches (40.6 x 30.5 cm) Signed, dated, and dedicated center right: to Dr. Curt Haug / from / Emmett / Kelly Sr. / 1974.- The present work was acquired from Jim Stinson Sports who stated on the invoice: I have enclosed chapter from the book detailing the relationship between Mr. Haug and Red Skelton. Haug was the director of the performing arts center and the person from whom I obtained these items. This lot is accompanied by a photo of Emmett Kelly performing and a copy of a photo of Emmett Kelly, Red Skelton, and Frank Hopper.
