Kalijambe is the name of an area as well as the name of a river. Around the stream there are ancient fossil remains known as the Sangiran site. It is a river that is a witness to early human life. The painter is an author of books and novels, one of his published novels is entitled Kemuning Jeddah, published by Erlangga in 2014, and some of his books are available online. Artist’s Statement: The colors I chose in the painting represent memories, joy, as well as mysteries under the ripples that keep the stories of early human life.
