Enfield MK 5 Jungle Carbine

[ translate ]

Enfield MK 5 Jungle Carbine in 303 caliber. This limited production Enfield (1944-1947) was designed for use in the Pacific where a lighter weight carbine was necessary. The barrel is 18.5'' with a bright, shiny bore, and marked with cartridge and barrel length along with proof and maker's marks. The large flash suppressor made it necessary to use the No. 5 bladefront sight with a bayonet lug. The rear aperture sight was set for 300 yards, along with a flip-up adjustable ladder sight calibrated for 200-800 yards. The receiver is marked with the correct four-digit number and letter prefix, (No. 5 MKIROF (F) 12/45 T 3260), making it of Fazakerley manufacture. The stock has a hairline crack of 1'' on the left side of the forend tip; there are some nicks and in-use wear marks, but overall good to very good condition, and ends in a factory rubber pad to help reduce the recoil of the lighter carbine. The removable magazine holds ten 303 British cartridges. The overall condition will make this a great addition to a WWII arms collection. Serial # T3260. Due to changing New York State regulations, all firearms sold, (regardless of age), must be shipped to an FFL dealer, or have a NICS check performed for on-premises pickups.
