English Brass Bound Walnut Lap Desk, c. 1901, the interior opening to a gilt tooled black leather writing surface over open storage, behind a pen tray compartment and inkwell and stamp compartments, on a later splayed leg mahogany stand, joined by rectangular stretchers, H.- 24 1/4 in., W.- 19 3/4 in., D.- 10 1/4 in.
Condition Report: Condition consistent with age and use. Many small gouges to lid. Brass band is raising up on front. Crack in leather inset panel. Stand is much darker than desk.
