Inlaid mahogany with arch top bonnet with three brass finials, over ebony inlaid banding, door flanked by fluted columns with brass capitals and plinths, over cove molding and waist with overlapping door with inlaid ebony and satinwood stringing and escutcheon, flanked by chamfered corners with lambs tongue terminals, over cove molding and base with matching string inlay, cut-out bracket feet; polychrome painted steel arch top dial with Britannia and lion in landscape, Roman numerals with seconds and date dials, spandrels with gilt floral branches, signed Hayre & Son; brass English bell strike time, and date weight driven movement with original pendulum and weights, nice old patina, 19 x 6.25 x 88.5" high. Condition some veneer chipping, else VG.
