English Mahogany Bookmill and Canterbury, 19th c., the flat topped revolving bookmill with slatted supports, atop a moulded base, on casters; together with the canterbury with finialed ends, arched dividers, the center having a handle, atop turned legs, on casters, Bookmill- H.- 38 1/2 in., W.- 20 in., D.- 20 in.; Canterbury- H.- 20 in., W.- 19 in., D.- 13 1/2 in. Condition Report: The bookmill is structurally sound. Warm older finish with abrasions and toning. There is a shrinkage running the width of the top with separation. A few minor losses, one two inch loss at top of one support, minor looseness where base meets stand. The top shelf is 8 inches tall; the middle shelf is 9 inches tall; the bottom shelf is 10 inches tall; all shelves are 6.5 inches deep. The canterbury is structurally sound. Older warm finish with abrasions and minor chips, nicks, marks and imperfections consistent with age and use.
