An English Oak Tantalus, Second Half 19th Century. Fitted with a pair of cut glass decanters with stoppers.
Dimensions: Height 14in; width 12 1/2in; depth 6 3/4in; Height of decanters including stoppers 8in; width 3in; depth 3in; Dimensions of tantalus wells 3 3/4 x 3 3/4in.
Condition Report: General marks, wear and toning to the metalwork. The cut glass decanters are together with the carrying case by association. The case is lacking its locking mechanism and key. The bottoms of the stoppers each have chip losses from impact.
