Regimental Drum Table, circa 20th century. This unique piece features an English marching campaign drum mounted on a brass stand and topped with glass, serving as an end table. The drum itself measures approximately 19" in height and 20" in diameter. With the table base and glass top included, the overall dimensions are approximately 21 3/4" in height and 22" in diameter. In good condition consistent with age and use. This item originates from the estate of John A. Williams, a distinguished philanthropist and renowned collector. Mr. Williams and his partner Dewitt Hart were influential members of San Francisco's art society and were celebrated for their discerning taste in modern, ethnographic, and fine art. Over the years, they hosted numerous exhibitions in their home, showcasing their prestigious collection to appreciative audiences.
