Condition Report:
The canvas is lined. The paint surface is stable and in good condition but soiled. Patterns of craquelure throughout, particularly to the sitting dog and sky at right. Scratches and scuffs in places, notably to the sleeping dog at left and to the right of the sitting dog. Frame abrasions with minor associated paint loss. Under UV light, minor areas of retouching to the grass in the lower left quadrant, to the front right paw of the sitting dog, to the tree in front of and above the sitting dog’s head, and in places throughout the sky.
