Seated at the table is Nicholas Sprimont (circa 1716-1771), co-founder and manager of the Chelsea porcelain factory. His wife, Ann, behind him, while his sister-in-law, Susanna Protin, presents a completed vase from the factory for his inspection. Sprimont is surrounded by five additional Chelsea vases in varying degrees of completion. See lots 59, 60, 61, and 62.
