The dial signed Tho Stubbs, London with a twin-train anchor-escapement movement. Height 7 feet 5 1/4 inches (226.6 cm), width 17 3/4 inches (45 cm), depth 9 3/4 inches (24.7 cm).
Very little of his work appears to have survived despite the fact that he is recorded as 'A Great Clockmaker' when he was made a Freeman of the Clockmakers' Company in April 1685
