Interesting collection of vintage decorative wooden boxes and accessories featuring a variety of hand-carved designs, intricate detailing, and craftsmanship. Includes a 1960s Enid Collins of Texas wooden box purse featuring the iconic "U R the Apple of My I" design, beautifully hand-painted with a vibrant red apple, decorative lettering, black carrying handle, and brass-tone hardware. The interior bears the Collins of Texas maker's mark dated 1964. Also includes a 1950s wooden handkerchief box featuring a deeply carved figural design against a textured background; a four-compartment wooden tea box with individually carved turtle lids and mother-of-pearl inlay accents; a skillfully carved wooden gazelle bust with sweeping horns and a concealed side compartment; and a rectangular wooden cigarette box featuring brass corner reinforcements, decorative brass banding, and a diamond-shaped inlay on the hinged lid. An attractive grouping of collectible wooden accessories representing folk art, decorative carving, and mid-century craftsmanship. Condition: Good overall vintage condition with age-related wear.
