Ennio Calabria Italian artist and intellectual, exponent of European figurativism.

In 1958 he exhibited his first solo exhibition at the Galleria La Feluca in Rome. In 1959 he took part in the exhibitions of the VIII Quadrennial of Rome. This first participation was followed by those of 1972, 1986 and 1999.

In 1961 he was part of that circle of artists (Renzo Vespignani, Ugo Attardi, Fernando Farulli, Piero Guccione and Alberto Gianquinto) who, together with the art critics Antonio Del Guercio, Dario Micacchi and Morosini, gave life to the group called Il pro e the counter[9] , a point of reference for research in the field of figurative painting.

In 1963 one of his works was exhibited at the Contemporary Italian Paintings exhibition, held in some Australian cities[11] . In 1963-64 he exhibited at the exhibition Peintures italiennes d'aujourd'hui, organized in the Middle East and North Africa[12] . In 1964 he took part in the International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale[13] .

His first anthology was held in 1985 in Milan, at the Rotonda della Besana; a second will be held in 1987 in Rome, at Castel Sant'Angelo. The publication, published by Vangelista of Milan, of a monograph edited by Carandente and Mario De Micheli also dates back to those years, of which a second edition will be released in which the collaboration of the art critic Dario Micacchi will be added.

In 2008 he set up the personal exhibition La luce e la forma at the Granelli Gallery in Livorno. While in 2009 the solo show La forma dainterno was held at the Luciana Matalon Foundation in Milan; the exhibition was then revived at Villa Paolina Bonaparte in Viareggio.

In 2015 he participated again in the International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, at the Guatemala Sweet Death National Pavilion.

In 2018, Palazzo Cipolla in Rome dedicated the anthological Ennio Calabria to him. Towards the time of being.
