Ennio Finzi is considered the last living Spatialist painter, in fact as he himself recalls, in 1947 he was only 16 years old and could not be enrolled in the Spatialism pictorial movement like Tancredi Parmeggiani (1927 - 1964) who was twenty at the time years[1] .
From 1960 to 1978, also due to problems linked to the difficulty of selling spatialist works in a historical moment that favored other types of research[1] , he decided to completely embrace the more contemporary principles of scientific and technological analysis typical of those years, certainly not as the artists of Gruppo N who actually used electronics and lighting techniques[5] , but trying to create the same conditions with an analytical type of non-painting in black and white which moved away from the previous strong chromatisms, focusing on automatism and the combination of rhythms[6] getting closer and closer to Kineticism[1]
