ENNIO FINZI, born in Venice in 1931, still active at the age of 93, is the author of this acrylic on canvas, signed, titled and dated by hand on the back of the canvas, measuring 45x80x3 cm, mounted on a frame, created in 2003, accompanied by a Certificate of Archiving and Authenticity on photo signed by the artist and the Scientific Committee. It is in truly excellent condition.
Ennio Finzi is one of the protagonists of Critical Painting and Abstract Expressionism, among the Italian painters between the 20th and 21st centuries. He trained in Venice where he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts, and exhibited at the XLII Biennale in 1986. His However, his first personal exhibition dates back to the Rome Quadrennial in 1959 and then presented again in 2000. A major retrospective in Rome and Spoleto in 2002. Exhibitions at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara and at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art at Palazzo Forti in Verona. Other important exhibitions in the Ducal Palace of Urbino in 2005 and in Prague in 2006.
His works can be found at the Sella Museum in Lodrignano (near Parma) , at the Pinacoteca di Palazzo Chiericati in Vicenza and in the Apollonio Museum of Contemporary Umbrian Art, and also in important public and private collections.
