Salvador Dalí posed for the famous Vogue magazine. It was 1955 and the prestigious photographer Richard Avedon did a photo session of Dalí and Dovima, one of the top models of the time, and this photo was taken by Enrique Meneses. . The anecdote in the photo is the following:
Our eccentric Salvador Dalí posed for the famous Vogue magazine? It was 1955 and the prestigious photographer Richard Avedon did a photo session of Dalí and Dovima, one of the top models of the time.
The most famous snapshot is that of Dovima strangling our painter. During the photo session, Richard Avedon was accompanied by the Spanish photographer and writer Enrique Meneses, to whom he exclaimed: "Don't screw up the photo, it's for Vogue! " The model's story is as follows: one day in 1949, an editor from Vogue magazine approached her and asked if she had ever worked as a photography model. He invited her to a photo shoot and the next day she was posing for noted photographer Irving Penn. Dovima often kept her mouth closed during the sessions, making the photographs look mysterious. Her smile was even compared to that of the Mona Lisa.

Enrique Meneses' photographs have appeared in publications around the world, such as Paris Match and The New York Times.
He photographed what he witnessed, with the genuine intention of obtaining an image to document an event. He despised all aesthetic artifice and acted as an absent photographer so as not to alter the moment.
Meneses witnessed the great events of his time, such as the death of Manolete, the march on Washington for the Civil Rights struggle or the death of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. He photographed Dalí, Nasser, Hussein of Jordan, Faissal of Arabia , the Dalai Lama, the Shah of Iran, Farah Diba, Salvador Dalí, Martin Luther King Jr, or Mohammed Ali, Picasso, Bod Dylan, Kennedy, Hussein of Jordan, among others
