Table 25 The dining table has a construction of only 25 mm old oak slats. A glass tabletop rests on it, so that the structure of the design is clearly visible. The structure consists of a grid and 4-piece legs, attached to the corners of the grid. The structure, besides being adapted to the specific table, is iterated in every table in the Recup G collection. The dining table is treated with a transparent oil. All pieces of furniture are constructed from recycled wood. By applying different types of wood joints and construction techniques, the furniture is characterized by open, sturdy structures that are solely made of wood. In fact, not a single piece of furniture contains a screw, nail or other connecting material. Every single piece of furniture consists of slats with an identical size, as indicated by the name of the furniture. This fixed size of the slats determines, to the extent that it remains practical, everything regarding the dimensions of that specific piece of furniture. Working with different sizes of slats ensures that the recovered wood is always fully utilized and therefore, that waste is minimized. For example, if slats are not sufficiently long for Table 24, they can be used for Chair 18 or, as last resort, for Table 15.
