Eric Stein has always loved to paint, sculpt, hack. This habit led him to study art history and archaeology but also to fine arts courses. He also, as part of a teacher training, worked on children's drawing. He draws his inspiration from painters such as Basquiat, Tapies, Art Brut in general. His work is also strongly influenced by literature and poetry (Genet, Artaud, Dickinson . . .) . More generally, everyday life, good or bad encounters, build his paintings. He often tries to link text and image without ever giving a key. He likes to suggest, provoke the look and questions.
