Watercolour and opaque white over pencil on brownish laid paper 53 x 69 cm Framed under glass. Signed and dated 'Heckel 40' in pencil lower right and titled '- Herbstlandschaft mit Windmühle -'. - The mat opening slightly browned. Small marginal tear in upper margin.

According to Hans Geissler, the present landscape at the Flensburg Firth probably depicts the landscape around Westerholz with its mill.
